July 23, 2020
Durham Region has moved into Phase 3 which means the Dunmoore Tennis Club will be allowed to have all four courts playing doubles as of midnight Friday, July 24.
The time restrictions will still be in place: Single = 1 hour / Doubles = 2 hours. Please be respectful of your fellow members and follow these timelines.
We are still in discussion with the City of Pickering regarding the lighting at the courts. Hopefully they will provide us with a new key for the light switch - we will keep you posted once a decision has been made.
Thank you.

Hello Dunmoore members, as you know we have been in constant contact with the City regarding the restrictions they have imposed on all recreational sports throughout Pickering. They have just come out with an update to their guidelines that we're pleased to share with you.
Please note, the signed waiver still applies to all members with the amendment to point 3 allowing for doubles play, if and where head counts apply.
Outdoor recreational team sports may resume, if physically distanced, for training only, and with no scrimmages or games, limiting the number of participants to a max of 10. Outside of organized team sports training, the City reminds residents that gatherings of more than 10 people are not permitted, and urges them to practice physical distancing and remain 6 ft/2 m from those outside of their household and social circle.
As a reminder, outdoor playgrounds, play structures and play equipment remain closed, as well as indoor recreation facilities. City facilities remain closed to the public, and select locations are minimally staffed to ensure the continued delivery of essential and critical services.
Dunmoore members are now allowed to play Doubles if the participants follow the City's restrictions of maximum of 10 people:
- 2 courts of doubles / 1 court of singles / 1 court empty
- 1 court of doubles / 3 courts of singles
In an effort to enhance the enjoyment and use of the Dunmoore Courts, for this season only, we will be changing the timing of court use: Doubles will be allowed 2 hours and Singles will be allowed 1 hour before being requested to leave the courts so other members are able to play.
We trust our members to follow the guidelines put out by the City and to email me whenever you leave the courts.
Any violation of the guidelines resulting in fines will be the responsibility of the member(s) in question and not the Dunmoore Tennis Club.
Thank you.
